The GlobalNetStar™ SATA RAID EX subsystems provide high capacity fault tolerant RAID tstorage utilizing SATA disk drives. This product line was designed for maximum storage density while minimizing the dollar per GB cost for storage, without compromising the overall usability, reliability and accessibility of the subsystem.

Dual host channels on all models and an optional dual/redundant failover controller reduce possible subsytem downtime. Ease of installation, operation and maintenance is enabled through modular, host swappable active components, which also reduce potential downtime. Up to 16 SATA hot swappable disk drives are supported (4TB). Hot swap cooling fan modules protect the subsystem from overheating and two power supplies help ensure steady operation of the subsystem.

The Java- based GUI RAID management tool offers certalized issue notification and administration of all RAID arrays from a single screen. In-band support includes Windows 2000/XP, Sun Solaris, and Linux. Out-of-band support is available via web browser using the onboard Ethernet port.
